Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Siliguri – Transfer to Darjeeling
On reaching the New Jalpaigudi railway station/ Bagdogra airport, meet our ihpl representative who will help you take a transfer to Darjeeling by road. Darjeeling, the beautiful lush green hill town in West Bengal is a famous tourist destination of the country. The place is well-known for its tea plantations and scenic locations. After arriving in Darjeeling, check-in to the hotel. Freshen up and then leave for a walk through the beautiful green surroundings of Darjeeling. In the evening, you can go for shopping at the local market. Later, return to the hotel for dinner and have a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing
Begin this morning at the Tiger Hill while viewing the sunrise. This famous tourist spot promises to make your day a memorable one. While you come back to the hotel, do pay a visit to the Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop and peep through the Buddhist culture. On reaching the hotel, enjoy your breakfast and leave for a sightseeing tour. Visit major attractions of Darjeeling including Natural History Museum, Parmesan Nadia Himalayan Zoological Park, Ropeway, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Tea Estate and many more. After sightseeing, return back to the hotel and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 3: Darjeeling – Kalimpong
After you enjoy your delicious breakfast, leave for Kalimpong by road. Kalimpong is a famous destination in West Bengal and is known to offer a peaceful and relaxing holiday. It is also known for housing a number of Buddhist Monasteries. On arrival, check-in to the hotel. After taking some rest, leave for sightseeing around the place. Visit the Thongsa Gumpha, Lepcha Museum, Sangachoeling Monastery and Mangal Dham. In the evening, you can walk through the place and enjoy the beauty of your surroundings. You can spend the rest of the time at leisure. Have a comfortable stay at night in the hotel.
Day 4: Pelling
This morning, you leave for your next destination, Pelling. So, after you have your breakfast head towards Pelling. Pelling is a beautiful town set in Sikkim. The place offers captivating views of the Kanchenjunga Mountain which is the 3rd highest peak in the world. Also, the place offers a lovely weather which allures people from all over. Spend the entire day at leisure in the beautiful place. You can take some rest in the room or walk through the local market of the place. Enjoy overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5: Pelling Sightseeing
After you have your breakfast, leave for sightseeing. You begin your sightseeing by visiting the Pemayantse Monastery which is well-known as the oldest monastery in Sikkim. Later, visit the Rimbi water Falls, Rabdentse Ruins, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kanchenjunga Water Falls and Khecheopalri Lake. After the long day at these attractions, return to the hotel for dinner. Take some rest and enjoy overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6: Gangtok
Today, you leave for your next destination, Gangtok. Gangtok is a major Buddhist Pilgrimage Site and is known for its natural beauty. On arrival in Gangtok, check-in to the hotel. After taking some rest, leave for sightseeing around the place. You can take a walk around the streets of Gangtok and enjoy some time in tranquility. In the evening, return to the hotel and spend some time in leisure. Have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Gangtok Sightseeing
Munch yummy breakfast in the morning and then leave for a sightseeing tour in Gangtok. Visit attractions such as Tsongmo Lake. Tsongmo Lake is also known as Changu Lake and is a famous tourist spot. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the place and then leave for the next attraction. You can visit Baba Mandir which was built in the memory of a brave Indian soldier. Later you can visit place like Do-Drul Chorten Stupa, Ranka Monastery and Rumtek Monastery. Later, go for shopping at the local shopping street of Gangtok. Have a comfortable overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 8: Departure from Siliguri
Have your breakfast and then leave for New Jalpaigudi railway station in Siliguri or Bagdogra airport by road. On reaching there, depart for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
