Itinerary
Day 1: Bagdogra – Darjeeling
After arrival at Bagdoga airport, meet our representative who’ll escort you to the car that waits you to take you to Darjeeling. The low hilly terrain of Darjeeling provides it with a serene and scenic beauty.
While on the drive to Darjeeling you will visit the Teesta river flowing which adds to the beauty of the place. The place is famous for its lush green tea plantations, verdant meadows and a beautiful township.
On reaching Darjeeling, get transferred to one of our listed hotels. Check-in at the hotel and take some rest. In the evening take a leisurely walk to explore the place for alluring and mesmerizing beauty. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Darjeeling
Next morning post breakfast, take an excursion to Tiger Hill that is famous for the panoramic views of Kanchenjunga and Mount Everest. The place is visited by several tourists to witness the spectacular Sunrise, when the first ray of sun shoots ahead and shed pink light upon the Kanchenjunga.
During your visit to the Tiger hill you can also view the Mt. Everest that peeps through the two other peaks standing by its side. In the later part of the day you may visit the Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary, the perfect picnic spot. The two artificial lakes present in the Sanctuary serve as a water reservoir for the town of Darjeeling. In the evening take a local tour to Darjeeling where you can explore places like the Ghoom Monastery, Aloobari Monastery, Dhirdham Temple and the rich green Tea Gardens. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Darjeeling
Post breakfast, proceed to visit the other major tourist attractions like Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Darjeeling Toy Train and the Barbotey Rock Garden. The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is another major tour attraction of the Darjeeling, that has been declared as the World Heritage Site by the UNSCO.
The rest of the day is spent at your discretion. You may take upon shopping for souvenirs at the local market of Darjeeling. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Darjeeling – Gangtok
After breakfast, head straight to Gangtok. The place is the center of Tibetan Buddhist culture and learning, it is a house of several religious educational institutions, Monasteries, and the center of Tibetology. Upon arrival at Gangtok get accommodated at one of our enlisted hotels.
After resting move out for a full day excursion to Tsomgo Lake. The lake is about 1 km. Long, oval in shape, 15 meters deep and is considered sacred by the local people. Also visit the small temple constructed on the Lakeside. In the evening take a leisurely walk to the local market of Gangtok for shopping. Return to the hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 5: Gangtok
Next morning wake up early and after breakfast set out for an excursion to local sightseeing, covering places like the Ranka Monastery, Saramsa Garden, Ganesh Tok View Point, Enchey Monastery and Do Drul Chorten Stupa. Travel down to Tashi to capture some breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga and other snow peaks. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Gangtok – Siliguri
Next morning after breakfast, leave for Siliguri. The place is famous for its tea , timber and tourism. The forest covered foothills provide for panoramic views for the visitors. After reaching Siliguri check-in at one of our listed hotels.
Later in the day take a guided tour to some of the major tourist attractions like the North Bengal Science Centre, Madhuban Park, Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary, Surya Sen Park, Kalchakra Monastery and Isckon Temple. In the evening return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Siliguri – Kalimpong
Post breakfast, drive straight to Kalimpong. Check-in at one of our listed hotels in the city. After resting and relaxing for a while set out to explore the local sites in Kalimpong. During your stay in Kalimpong you may indulge in lots of outdoor activities like rafting, day treks, village walks and shopping. Return to the hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Kalimpong – Bagdogra
On the last day of tour post breakfast transfer to Bagdogra airport, to board a flight for your onward destination.
